It’s our very first SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER, and we have had so many truly incredible prizes donated. This is our “fancy” event, and those who know us well know we aren’t black tie sort of folks…although the occasion is esteemed, this is a casual shindig. So wear your ball gowns if you’d like, but don’t forget your boots…we will be hanging out with goats!

Experience a magical afternoon that includes a sanctuary tour, guest speakers, Hors d’oeuvres and drinks, food from Wong Way Veg, and live music with Mandy Yoches, to make sure this event has some SOUL! (This event will be entirely outdoors and we ask guests to practice social distancing. Masks are welcome and encouraged.)

Who are we?

We are a group of animal rescuers who have committed the past decade to farm, companion and wild animals at our sanctuary. In years prior, we funded 70% of our budget through our own work, putting on events and giving our community meaningful opportunities to connect with animals, accessible to many, located just 15 minutes from downtown Denver.

Then the pandemic changed everything.

We completely lost several of our most important months of event revenue, and when we were safely able to return it was at a mere fraction of our normal capacity, and next came massive flooding from an unusually wet year. We are still reeling from everything thrown at us the past 18 months.

And then came the animal dumping, as the pandemic created homelessness for so many animals due to illness, job loss, as well as whim buying by those unprepared for the long term care of farm animals. From dozens of tiny chicks to giant baby cows, our life-or-death surrenders hit an all time high.

With over 500 animals calling the sanctuary their forever home, we can not fail. We must be able to continue to feed them, provide their vet care and maintain a clean and warm environment through our toughest season of the year. Winter is upon us, and it’s never easy.

We’ve been offered up to $50k of matched donations, which lets our community provide food the animals for just a few dollars, and a generous donor will double every bale of hay and bag of feed you donate. And this silent auction event at the sanctuary will conclude this matching offer, and allows us to share the magic and beauty contained here with all of you.

When the pandemic is finally over, we will still be here, rescuing, advocating and creating a community around our good work. We can’t thank you enough for supporting the animals through sharing our social media posts, contributing monetarily and spending time with the animals in person – but we can try…so here goes…THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE FOR US!

Non-Attendee Support – Unable to make the event but still want to donate to the animals? You can donate as much as you’d like. As a bonus, for each donation made in $10 increments will enter you in a drawing that many times for a chance to win Whirley’s Box of Whimsy, a collection of items that have been donated by our awesome sponsors, that if you win, will be mailed directly to you! (For example, if you donate $30, you will be entered in the drawing 3 times)
