Wanting to show support for the LGBTQ+ community that has supported us, this year was Broken Shovels’ first year participating in the Denver Pride parade. Sean Kruger, Megan Jones and Erin Jones were the dynamic, creative trio of artists responsible for creating our Pride sculpture, George Moo. A big thank you to all of our volunteers who helped plan, decorate, build, paper mache, paint and walk in the parade. It was a blast and honor to participate and George even got to take his photo with Jared Polis, governor of Colorado and his husband, First Gentleman, Marlon Reis. Liberate ALL through love!
