SANCTUARY SEEKING INTERN!!
With our recent expansion and LOTS of work to do to ready the new property to move in, we are currently seeking our FALL/WINTER LIVE-IN INTERN!
This is a full time position with housing on site and a small stipend. This opportunity is perfect for someone wanting to run their own sanctuary or rescue or be employed in animal care, activism, or advocacy. Or just have a brand new life experience!
There is a lot of entry level work, but this position affords the ability to learn in-depth caretaking, nutrition, medical procedures and maintenance of more than 20 species of farm animals, and can expand to funding, marketing, facilities maintenance, carpentry, building, and truly all aspects of running a sanctuary.
The perfect candidate will be able to commit to six months in this position, a self-starter with the ability to follow detailed instruction. A natural love of animals and the ups and downs of being a part of their lives, patience, ability to work in extreme temperatures, lift 50 pounds, and comfortable with working a physical job for long hours.
Additional stipend opportunities for those already skilled in carpentry, basic handyman skills or heavy machinery operation.
What it lacks in glamour, it makes up for in the gratitude of the lives we save and make beautiful every day. Possible long term employment after completion of the internship.
